Hydraulic pressure test with gasoil

Hydraulic pressure test with gasoil

(OP)
Hello,

We need to perform hydraulic test with gasoil on static equipment s.a. finfan coolers and related pipingsystems.
The unit this test needs to be done contains HydroFluoric Acid and the watercontaint has to be reduced to an absolute minimum.

Has anyone got experience with gasoil testing? Special needs for pumps or tools?

Thank You,

Bart

RE: Hydraulic pressure test with gasoil

There is nothing wrong with using an oil. Just recognize that it's a little more compressible than water so you need to slow up the rate at which you increase the pressure.
