Structural analysis of extruded polymer shapes

Structural analysis of extruded polymer shapes

Structural analysis of extruded polymer shapes

(OP)
Most of my structural engineering experience has been with extruded aluminum shapes where the Aluminum Design Manual is the standard code for structural design in the US. Does anyone know what publication is used for structural analysis of extruded polymer shapes used in building construction in the US?

RE: Structural analysis of extruded polymer shapes

Because polymers creep, unreinforced polymers are generally not considered structural materials. The kind of information you seek would in the product data sheet for each grade of polymer.
