How to import paths into ANSYS R15 from Inventor 2014

How to import paths into ANSYS R15 from Inventor 2014

(OP)
Hi all,

My colleague wants to plot stress along paths which follow a weld toe or cross a weld zone. The weld path curves in 3-dimensions and so it is laborious to use mesh-snapping.

2D and 3D sketches are contained in IGES and STEP files but do not import into ANSYS R15. We do not have the Design Modeller license. Do we need to license the 'ANSYS Geometry Interface for Inventor' or are there tips and tricks to use?

Thanks
M
