running journal from command prompt

running journal from command prompt

Hello,

Is it possible to run a journal (.vb) file from using batchcommand so I do not have to open the UG Gui. basically perform all the operations that I would like without opening the UG product?

thanks for the help

RE: running journal from command prompt

You can run a journal from the command line with the utility "run_journal.exe" (found in your UGII folder). I've not had a need to use it myself, so I'm not sure if it will open the NX GUI or not...

If you have an author license, you can compile your journal to an .exe file, which can be run in batch mode.

Quote (NX help)

run_journal <filename> -args <string arguments>

Home -> Fundamentals -> Recording NX sessions -> Journals -> Run a journal from the command prompt window.
