Change Anchor Point of Directional Lights

Change Anchor Point of Directional Lights

Change Anchor Point of Directional Lights

(OP)
The default anchor point for directional lights is the model origin and the direction around that point. It seems that the light has a fixed distance from the anchor point and it prevents me from illuminating the top of my model. Is there a way to move this anchor point or extend the distance from the point? As shown in the picture below, the light with the arrow cannot light from above the model and all 3 lights are anchored on the bottom right corner. If it is not possible to modify this, would a point or spot light have more flexible settings?

I'm using SolidWorks Premium 2014, if that is relevant.

RE: Change Anchor Point of Directional Lights

Why don't you start a new part\assembly and change the lighting locations, etc... and save it as a new Template. I believe that would fix your problem here.

RE: Change Anchor Point of Directional Lights

Why not just move the model to a more sensible origin point?

Or turn off those lights and add your own.
