Best practice to create Wave links throughout the assembly?
Best practice to create Wave links throughout the assembly?
(OP)
Hi,
My main Assembly (A) consists of 4 sub-assemblies (B1,B2,B3& B4). And in those sub-assemblies there are sub-assemblies/sub components ( B1C1, B1C2, B3C3….. B2C1, B2C2, B2C3………) and in them there are components a,b,c,d,e…..
B1 assembly contains all the driving details, bodies and surfaces (Skeleton assembly). I want to link those details to other components extensively.
What is the best practice to create links? Each component link directly to the B1C* components or to create first wave links at subassembly level and then link those to their components?

Please carefully read through this thread: thread561-218532: NX5 WAVE best practices in complex assembly design. The recommendations in that thread still apply.
