Current model has 10 millions element. hardware spec is 3.07 GHz, 4 core, 12 GB RAM. Using 4 core to run analysis. How much more memory do I need to be able to run min. of 10 million elements. Thank you very much for your help.

RE: Memory requirement for +10 million elements

It sounds like you are running a simulation. You should ask this question in the simulation area.

From my experience with FlowSimulation 2 million elements using natural convection for electronics applications takes at least 8 gb of memory. I would think that 10 million elements takes a lot more memory. I am guessing you want to upgrade to 40gb of ram at least might as well go all the way to 64gb a that point and give yourself some buffer. I am not sure if other simulation programs use more or less memory.
