Fire Hose Reel in tunnels

Fire Hose Reel in tunnels

Fire Hose Reel in tunnels

(OP)
Hello,
I have been asked to comment on an existing fire fighting system recently built. It consist of 4 hydrants in a tunnel where hydrants are 120 m apart. The problem they are facing is that they have install fire hose reels of 30 m in length which have 30 m [hose length] + 10m [throw]= 40 m coverage only. therefore for 2 hydrants, we have 80 meters coverage whereas 120m required. Could we suggest in this case to instal fire extinguisher to compensate this 40 m short in hose reel [120-80].
Thank you
