SEEPAGE WELLS (DRYWELLS) NEAR FOUNDATION WALLS

SEEPAGE WELLS (DRYWELLS) NEAR FOUNDATION WALLS

(OP)
What's the rationale for placing seepage wells 10 ft from from foundations. Is it that the foundation may settle, or that there could be water infiltration from the well, or both?

Any way around this when there is an existing well closer than 10 ft? Foundation is for one sty building / no cellar

RE: SEEPAGE WELLS (DRYWELLS) NEAR FOUNDATION WALLS

in addition to the two issues you mention, maintenance would be difficult and loss of ground support in the well could impact your foundation if it was too close
