NX9 VARIABLE mom_stepover_type

NX9 VARIABLE mom_stepover_type

With NX9 I'm trying to include "mom_stepover_scallop" in the NC program but need to know the step over type.

Does anyone know what each "mom_stepover_type" number variable represents?
I have seen numbers of at least 1 thru 5.

Thanks for any help,

Rick D

RE: NX9 VARIABLE mom_stepover_type

Rick,
There are at least 19 options that I know of ;*)
Different subsets area available in different operation types in milling, turning, and WEDM.

The best is to turn on the review tool, set the option, and post.
Change the option to each one you need to account for, and post again.
Then compare the .out files and see the differences.

Based on each type, you will need to look at different mom variables - number, distance, maximum, etc.

Hi Mark

I am only interested in the milling stepover type and had already used the review tool
to see that there was at least 5. However I did not come across all 5 and it was difficult at best
to find them.

Thanks
