Is there a way to increase Laser Gas Consumption in an Amada FO3015? (Fanuc 4000E)
Is there a way to increase Laser Gas Consumption in an Amada FO3015? (Fanuc 4000E)
(OP)
We are having a really odd issue where the laser is losing power fairly rapidly and I am suspecting it may be the Gas Control.
Symptoms:
* After it is running for a little while, 5, 10 mins or so, Power starts dropping rapidly untill we have no output
* Base discharge completly gone on Banks controlled by 3 & 4 power supplies. weak and struggling on others.
* No faults are registered at all, just no power on meter or at process.
* Leak rate was 2.7, after changing some orings 2.0)
* no discernible external leaks
* Tried 3 different bottles, all of which work well on C2000 we have.
After Aging:
* Pwr Coe about 1150 (which is what we always get)
* After Aging we have full Power available
* Base Discharge looks normal
Tried:
* 7 cycle autoaging, no difference than next day aging
* Optics have all been replaced
* Vacuum Pump and Turbo oils both replaced
* Dropped Tube Pressure from 730 to 700. (thinking of going a little lower to see what happens)
Any thoughts on what to try next? Waiting for Amada to get back to us.

25 0000 1001
26 0000 0000 (this seems right)
27 0000 1111
28 0000 0000 (this seems right too)

Set the machine up to do an internal burn m758 at 4000w 2000hz 50%. After a few minutes close the laser gas bottle of and watch the primary side of the regulator and see how much the pressure drops in one minute. I think 400psi is a good target.
Not by the book. Just to get you close to where you need to be.

Current State of the Laser:
* 3700 watts max stable output, if we call for higher, laser starts slowly losing power on longer cuts until it 4063's out.
* Internal leak rate of 2.1 torr/minute
* running at 700 Tube pressure (from 730). May change this back when work is caught up.
* Cut quality is excellent.
I will try that LaserNinja. I have to learn to do an internal burn anyway. Currently I have been just tricking it into an aging cycle and manipulating the parameters in the aging cycle (Shutting of Calibration, etc)
