Design Code for Nuclear Class 1 Heat Exchanger

Design Code for Nuclear Class 1 Heat Exchanger

(OP)
I am preparing a design specification for nuclear class 1 heat exchanger. It has to be designed in accordance with ASME Section III, division 1, Subsection NB. As NCA-1110 indicates heat exchanger is covered by Section III, division 1. However, Subsection NB does not detailed how to design Class 1 heat exchanger. While Section VIII, Part UHX mentions how to design non nuclear class heat exchanger. As Section III does not detail the design of nuclear class 1 heat exchanger as VIII, do I have to use both Section III, Subsection NB and the TEMA for the design of nuclear class 1 heat exchanger?
Your any help and time would be appreciated very much.

RE: Design Code for Nuclear Class 1 Heat Exchanger

I can't imagine that this isn't covered in your design specification. But in the off chance that it isn't, then seek clarification from the project managers. The last thing you want to do on a nuclear project is to make assumptions.
