arrengments in different subassembly levels

arrengments in different subassembly levels

arrengments in different subassembly levels

(OP)
Hello all,

Lets say I have such situation:
I have an assembly "box-assy", which has two arrangements: Cover closed (default arrangement) and cover opened. That assembly goes to another assemblies in different levels:
ASSY1
- box-assy
or
ASSY2
- ASSY1
- box-assy
There is no problem of using different arrangements of "box-assy" in ASSY1 or ASSY2. But then I make drawing of ASSY1 (master model concept), I cannot find a solution of showing "box-assy" both in opened and closed cover (in one view i want to have "cover opened", and in another view "cover closed").
Is it possible or I just have to add two copies of ASSY2, to have different cover positions?
Thanks.

RE: arrengments in different subassembly levels

As far as I know this is not possible in NX.
We have a similar problem with assemblies with more than two levels.
(drawing is somehow an assembly smile

RE: arrengments in different subassembly levels

Make 2 arrangements in the top level assembly; in the first, change the box assembly arrangement to 'closed', in the other change it to 'open'. Now when you switch arrangements in the top level, the arrangement in the box assembly will follow.
