MESHING: 3D elements to 2D elements

Hello to everyone,

Is it possible in FEMAP 11 to extrapolate from a 3D element only one "surface" in order to obtain a 2D element to which it is possible to assign a plane element property?

RE: MESHING: 3D elements to 2D elements

Dear Dan90,
Yes, you can use "Mesh > Edge Members", very powerful. This command provides a convenient way for for paving the surface of solid structures with plates or membranes.
Best regards,
Blas.
