20kV reactor surge protection

20kV reactor surge protection

(OP)
Hello!
I want to ask you about surge protection for three phase shunt iron core reactor on medium voltage (20kV). I want to use surge arresters and surge capacitors. My problem is that there are 3 single phase reactors which I must connect in wye connection in order to have a three phase 700kvars reactor and I need to know how to connect the surge protection. Between input phases and ground but then there is the neutral connection, shall I have also between the neutral and groud (4 surge arresters+4 surge capacitors)? Or shall I have the surge protection between phases and not to the ground (3 surge arresters +3 surge capacitors)?
Any comment wellcome, technical paper indication, etc.
Thanks!
Pafi

RE: 20kV reactor surge protection

Why surge capacitor?
I guess 3 surge arresters between input phases and ground is enough.
