Dear Patran community,

Is there a tool or an utility to only import/export the groups definition from Patran?
I create a new DB and i want to import my groups definition. Im using MSC patran 2012

Thank in advance

RE: Patran Group definition

Hi,
yes there is a tool for this in the Utilities Menu.
You have to use Utilities / Groups / Group to session file.
You select the groups you want to export, set a file name for the group session file to create and click APPLY.
Then after opening the database where you want to import your groups in, you run the group session file you have just created using menu : File / Session / Play...
