Spiral Heat Exchanger
Spiral Heat Exchanger
(OP)
Actually how do we design spiral heat exchanger?? The spiral heat exchanger tube is buy from other supplier and install in (correct me if I'm wrong), so can I design the spiral heat exchanger by using the same method to design the shell and tube heat exchanger (fixed stationary)??

RE: Spiral Heat Exchanger
Be careful of your terminology and exactly what you mean...
Spiral heat exchangers have been around for a long time, have been used for extreme fouling service and are constructed with two parallel flat plates.
They look like this:

I believe that you are interested in something different that this.
Please try to explain a little better....

RE: Spiral Heat Exchanger
These exchangers are for instance used in food industry (like heating/cooling for pasteurization and UHT) to maximize counter current heat exchange with product on both sides, which requires good cleanability and drainability on both sides.
Typically you would purchase an entire heat exchanger, not only the inner tubes.
