Medium and High Voltage Short Circuit Calculations Book request

Medium and High Voltage Short Circuit Calculations Book request

(OP)
Hey all,

I'm currently working on a project where I have to design a 33/11kV Substation. I will need to carry out fault calculations probably using Amtech Powernet HV. But I'd like to refresh my knowledge of the basic principles to understand it better.

I remember having books at uni which covered the different type of short circuit calculations and the power systems from the basics. I'm looking for a book like that in english language which it not too expensive and also quite easy to use.

Also a book which covers the basics of the transformers and generators/motors would be great.

Any recommendations ?

Thanks

Csaba

If you need a book on the basics of transformers / generators and motors, then you need to think carefully about whether you have the right skills and knowledge to design a 33/11kV sub! Also, Amtech Powernet HV is a very basic fault calculation package to use for a Primary sub installation such as this.
