Concrete Column Alignment Tolerances
Concrete Column Alignment Tolerances
(OP)
When I read ACI 117 4.1.Vertical Alignment, i see that for heights less than 100ft, a line, surfaces or arrises can be 1 inch out of alignment.
There seems to be no reference to column locations relative to the grid lines.
I read that this would apply to the alignment of the top of an interior, CIP column in a four story building in relation to the grid centerline, such that it could only be 1" away from the grid line intersection in a horizontal plane.
Can anyone comment?
