strain concentration due to an applied concentrated transverse load
strain concentration due to an applied concentrated transverse load
(OP)
Hello All,
I would like to have a good reference about the fundamentals of strain concentration due to an applied concentrated transverse load (simple bending), or the equation to calculate it analytically.
regards,
Miguel Silva,MSc.

Sounds like you should get your hands on a couple of good Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Theory of Elasticity text books, and study them a bit. Once you have a better fundamental understanding of your problem, you could ask a more meaningful and pointed question. Didn’t you study these subjects during your engineering education? Also, stress and strain are proportional within the elastic range, for most materials. Are you actually getting stress and strain beyond the elastic limit?
