SPARE PART WEB SITES

(OP)
Hi everybody,
I am new to this web sites and i am looking to find a sites where we can go and do a search to find parts that may be available from other plant or different suppliers. Something like a huge database where you can enter the information on the spare parts needed and basically have a search made for you. If anybody can help i will really appreciated.
Thanks in advance

RE: SPARE PART WEB SITES

The closest thing available is probably the Thomas Register.
Their site has a nice search engine based upon vendor name or product.
Other sites that may be helpful are:
W.W. Grainger
McMaster Carr
MSC Industrial

RE: SPARE PART WEB SITES

Hello, Seb!

This is basically an emerging facet of (many) industries. The interest level is blooming rapidly and there are several initiatives to capture this type of (B2B) market. In the next several months, our company will be going public with this type of system for the fluid processing industry and should have tremendous value. The same thing is happening in many other industries, including biotech/health, office technologies, etc.

For more information, check out the Ventro Corporation sites:

You could try www.thecontrolzone.com. This site helps with the research, compare and selection of many different products.  They also have a discussion forum to further aid your search for product information.
