NX 8.5 Sketch snap to grid

NX 8.5 Sketch snap to grid

(OP)
I just installed 8.5 on a new computer. I can't seem to get my sketch to snap to grid, I've used this option on other computers. Is it a setting?

RE: NX 8.5 Sketch snap to grid

To set the default status of this, go to...

Customer Defaults -> Gateway -> Grid -> Sketch

...and in the section of the dialog labeled 'Grid Settings' you'll find the 'Snap to Grid' option. Note that this will only affect new parts created from scratch.

If you have an existing template file(s) you'll need to open the master part file(s) and while in the sketch task, go to...

Preferences -> Grid...

...and toggle ON the 'Snap to Grid' option there. Then leave the Sketcher, delete the 'dummy' sketch which was just created and then save the part file.
