Importing from ANSYS Classic to Workbench

Importing from ANSYS Classic to Workbench

Importing from ANSYS Classic to Workbench

(OP)
There are several threads about importing geometry from classic ANSYS to Workbench, but is it possible to import the FE model (i.e. mesh, materials, constraints, etc.)? Using the CDWRITE command you can get separate geometry (.iges) and FE data file (.cdb), and it's pretty straight forward to load the geometry into workbench. But how does one then load the corresponding FE data? The import options don't allow for the .cdb file type. The "transfer data from external data" option recognizes the file, but doesn't seem to load any of the data into workbench.

This was the only previous thread I found no the matter and it seems rather unresolved to me...
