suggestion for creating drawing templates

suggestion for creating drawing templates

suggestion for creating drawing templates

(OP)
The default template in NX cannot be used at our plant, i sort of made my own based on our autocad template.

based on some search in this forum
what i did was create new model, and then without doing anything, i click start on the toolbar and select drafting.

i customize my paper size, deleted the default bord line and sketched the bord line.......(good or bad practice)

in terms of the title block, same thing, draw line manually in order to define their dimensions accurately. after done, delete all dimension....

i saw people revise PAX file in the UG directory in order to tell PAX where the customized template is located, i havent done that..

does what i did make sense?
thank you.

RE: suggestion for creating drawing templates

What version of NX are you using? This may impact the different response you get. In NX 8 and above there are some added NX features that help you create these frames.
