automatic material removal

I would like to be able to assemble hardware parts (hinges, screws, etc) to wood components and remove material on the part where they were installed.
The hardware would be the smart part driving the material removal in the mating part.
Is this possible?

RE: automatic material removal

Cut the material out, then mate the parts.
Or, mate the parts, use the Cavity feature in the Mold Tools.

Thank you.
I will try the cavity feature and the tutorials.
