Hello guys,
I've been working at a small company for awhile that makes use of ANSYS structural to model different structures. For varying cases we use different methods for boundary conditions for the anchoring of the bottom of the equipment.

Here are the methods we sometimes use:

1. Select the anchor holes and use cylindrical supports. Select the flanges that have the holes and use frictionless support.
2. Select the anchor holes and use cylindrical supports. Select the flanges that have the holes and use compression only support.
3. Select the flanges and use fixed supports.

My issue comes when I think about having cylindrical supports and either compression only or frictionless supports. Is there any way to make the cylindrical supports not take compression (only tension and shear)? Does these need to be done with addition of APDL coding?
