Consultants Percentage of Architectural Fee

Consultants Percentage of Architectural Fee

Consultants Percentage of Architectural Fee

(OP)
On commercial building work, what percentage of the architects fee does each consultant make in your area? Where I practice, the structural engineer typically makes 10% of the architects fee. So on your typical commercial building..say >10M...the SE will typically get .0045 to .006 of the construction cost or 10% of the architect's fee.

Does the mechanical, electrical, civil-site work engineer each get 10%?

What percentage of the architects fee does he/she retain? 60% of their 4.5 to 7% of construction cost???
Thanks.

RE: Consultants Percentage of Architectural Fee

Davis Brody Bond in NYC holds 1/3 of their fee for consultants which I think is typical. I'm not sure how much of that is for structure, but I think about 1/3 of the 1/3. Davis Brody's typical fee is probably closer to 12-15% of construction.
