what is a fanning friction factor?

what is a fanning friction factor?

what is a fanning friction factor?

(OP)
in this paper: http://www.sid.ir/en/VEWSSID/J_pdf/119320101807.pd...

on page 65 it says fanning friction factor has to be applied to find nusselts number for the radiator coolant but it doesnt state what it is. What is this factor ? is this to do with a fan that goes on the radiator ?

Thank you.

RE: what is a fanning friction factor?

You read 4 pages into that document and your first question is Fanning Friction Factor? Putting that phrase into a Google search will point you to a Wikipedia article that discusses it pretty well. Don't like Wikipedia? There are 34,000 other links.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said,
