I'm able to create the section view but once the view is placed the section line disappeares.

And you should be getting an on-screen notice of that fact.

This is a known issue but one that we have not yet addressed, mostly due to the fact that the priority is not very high since it appears that 'Section' views of 'Broken' views are considered a non-standard Drafting practice.
