How to give expression formula if one of the dimensions is having with two different options. In one of scenario a bolt is manufactured with Un-plated and in Plated condition. In the seed part have to consider either one of dimension for ex Un-plated. So in future if I have to create family member for plated member even though if I enter value in spreadsheet for plated member it will not create the part because the seed part is modeled to the un-plated condition. Let me know how to capture this in the expression or in spreadsheet?
In attached pic. The dimension D is having with two different options. Seed part is created by considering either one of dimension. If child part has to be create for other values so how it can be achieved since both values are referring to the same expression?

RE: How to give expression formula if one of the dimensions is having with two different options.

So how are you associating the other dimensions of the bolt to D ?

What I would do in your situation is create the bolt to the unplated dimensions;
then to create the plated bolt, offset the surfaces by the thickness of the plating,
So therefore you will need to be concerned only with the unplated dimensions of the bolt in the expressions, plus an expression for the thickness of the plating.
The plating can then be triggered on/off by using suppression by expression. with: The plating offset can then be triggered on/off by using suppression by expression.
