design of wall element to STAAD output

design of wall element to STAAD output

design of wall element to STAAD output

(OP)
I am analysing an RCC shear core wall ( Lift shaft)for
vertical and lateral loads by STAAD. I like to know how to design the element for axial load, Bending moments, shear force in both directions ?

RE: design of wall element to STAAD output

(OP)
can any body give reply ?

RE: design of wall element to STAAD output

Can you clarify what you mean by both directions? I am also concerned with some engineer using STAAD to design structure if they do not fully understand how to use STAAD or not confident to do it by hand. I am 100% against engineers using software that they cannot comprehend how it works and what theory it is based on. It is scary!

RE: design of wall element to STAAD output

(OP)
This is a wall element which is subjected to vertical and lateral loads ( external). The STAAD output shows the Mx,My,MXY,Qx,Qy,Fx,Fy. I like to know how to design the element from this output.

Thanks

RE: design of wall element to STAAD output

Once again, if you do not know that much about STAAD, may be you should let some one in your office to do it. If not available, hire a consultant. This way you can learn how to do it in the future. No engineer in here is willing to tell you an answer with out knowing more in depth details.

Good luck
