Hi,
I have a very unusaul qeustion, We haveground fault ct's that are monitoring a panel from one transformer and wired to another panel off of a second transformer, is this going to work as you have a different voltage source you from the amprage you are trying to monitor.r seen this and I am not sure about it working.

RE: gruond fault ct's

Transformers will transformer current as well as amperage. Interposing transformers are used to match the CTs with the monitoring instrument or relay.
If the CT secondary is rated at 5 Amps and the monitoring device wants an input of 1 amp, then a 5:1 Amp CT may be interposed to effect an efficient match.
