Can't get datum symbol to attach to the midpoint of a hole dimension...
(OP)
Hey guys,
In NX8.5 I am trying to create a datum hanging off a hole dimension. The first one snapped to the midpoint of the extension. Perfect. But all the others snap to the endpoint of the extension. see picture. How do I get it to snap to the midpoint of the extension?
Thanks,
Mike...

What are you using to create this datum ?
RE: Can't get datum symbol to attach to the midpoint of a hole dimension...
I am using NX 8.5 to create the datum symbols. I noticed in my copy of NX 7.5 the attachment point is in the center of the leader. It's NX 8.5 that is attaching the datum symbol to the end of the leader. Are you using 8.5?
Do you know of a way to switch the attachment point from the center to the end of the leader. Or more importantly from the end back to the center?

Go to your command finder and enter Datum Feature Symbol and use the first thing that comes up, as shown in the pic.
There are a couple other ways to create them, but this is the best way.
