Section Views

Hi,
Is there any option or tricks to control the section view depth. (In Drafting)
For example not see more then 50mm behind the section plane. I use nx9.
Thanks in advance,
RG

Hi Cowski,
thanks and appreciated for your quick reply.
This really helps me with what I am doing now.
I spent hours and hours on selecting and hiding all unnecessary curves behind. This will save lot of time for me.

But, It will be really nice to cut and show even in a single body (Like inventor does)
It will be very handy for us.
May be Siemens will consider it in future.
Thanks,
RG

Can you be more explicit in what you mean? Perhaps a picture might help.

Hi John,
Please refer to the jpg attached.
In Nx the section view offset of 50mm doesn't do anything if the part is a single solid file. (If it is a multibody then it hides all parts behind the given offset)
But, what I am after is like in the other jpeg. The section view shows all the edges upto 50mm depth.
Thanks,
RG

RE: Section Views

I'm sorry, but I haven't vaguest idea what you're talking about. Your pictures are next to worthless. Perhaps an actual part file would be better.

Hi John,
Sorry if my words are confusing.
Let me try again.
Please compare the section view AA in both the pictures.
The picture in the left side shows couple more circular edges.
In other words Section view AA shows everything in between the actual section plane and a second plane which is 50mm below.
