Simulate veneer wood grain
Simulate veneer wood grain
(OP)
I am currently dealing with wood veneered interior trim components, we would like to see what direction the wood grain ends up once its veneered onto the surface, these are compound surfaces so we need to understand firstly the feasability of veneering the surface and the visual effect of straight grained finishes such as bamboo in relation to the surrounding components styling lines.
So far I have tried:
Flatten (Metaform) A surface onto flat face
Divide flattened face with parrallel section curves
Reform (using metaform) divided flattened face onto A surface
This works but is very long winded, are there any fabric design tools which can show cloth drape over a surface?
Thanks.
