drawing sheet number is not in valid format

Hi,
I get this message "drawing sheet number is not in valid format" when I try to insert sheet in drafting mode.
I don't get this message when I create new part file from temps. I have this problems only when I directly open a step file and save it as a part file and try to create drafting views within.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
RG

RE: drawing sheet number is not in valid format

Hi Did you try to convert the step file with the dedicated "external" translator proved with your NX installation?
I Always prefer using these as the seem to be delivering a better "Cleaned" partfile.

Hi Ron,
thanks for your quick reply. I should do that in future.
The reason why didn't to was, when I import any assembly file it loses its assembly nature. But if I directly open then I get all the structures.
May be there should some other way.
Thanks.
RG
