Which valve is comparable to Orbit T3 Standard -20F to 500+ ...help!
(OP)
Guys,
I have run into a slight problem. i am fabricating a coriolis metering skid for a pipeline company. On previous units i have used the Orbit T3 Standard valve, however, when quoting the valves this time around I am faced with a 20+ week lead time from Cameron. I cannot find any valve that might be comparable to this with a faster delivery, does anyone know where I could turn to look?
I am also faced with the same dilemma for the Cameron Double Block and Bleed valve that goes into my proving loop.
please any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Vesselman25

RE: Which valve is comparable to Orbit T3 Standard -20F to 500+ ...help!
given that an oribit is in theory a single seat ball valve, would a cavity relief ball valve not be sufficient? Given the specification of the orbit i.e. the materials of construction, many ball valves are on the market on the shelf, however, they would require to modified to meet the temprature requirements and small lead time. There are a number of advantages of using the orbit, however coming from a valve service company i feel that they are one of the hardest valves to maintain due to the specific design.
without looking at your full valve specification i would have thought that a metal seated ball valve with a lipseal arrangement may suffice in this instance. the lead time for this would depend on your budget.
Thanks

Franklin Valve is stocking some sizes for DBB.
Orbit should be rising stem ball valve.
What is the size?
