Curves and Edit Curves Menu in Drafting and Break out Sections

Curves and Edit Curves Menu in Drafting and Break out Sections

(OP)
Can anyone explain why the curves and edit curves menu has been buried in the new drafting menus? We know a lot of thought went into the new menus so we wonder if there's a better way to do what we are doing (preferred method). So, where we use it the most is to create curves in an expanded view from which we create a break out section. Due to the nature of our products and the customized drafting standard that has been accepted over the years, and expected in many cases as the norm, the break out section is ideal; even though seemingly no effort has been put into its development or interface in years.

Have you tried to 'sketch' in the view?

IIRC the reason we prefer lines and arcs in the expanded view over sketch lines in the active view for break out sections is that the modify boundary curves does not allow editing of sketch lines. For minor other drafting "fixes" outside of break out sections, I would agree sketch in view is the way to go. thanks

Since our intention is that all 'additional' curves added to Drawings should now be done using the sketcher tools, I would contact GTAC and have them open an IR/PR covering that fact that editing break-out section curves does not support Sketch curves.
