Estimating refrigerant saturation T & P in condenser or evaporator from water side data

Estimating refrigerant saturation T & P in condenser or evaporator from water side data

(OP)
Hi there,

I have evaporator chilled water and condenser water data for a vapor compression cycle (flow rate and temperature differential for both). Is there an ideal method for estimating the saturation temperature and/or pressure of the refrigerant in these heat exchangers?

RE: Estimating refrigerant saturation T & P in condenser or evaporator from water side data

Your best bet is to look at the system specifications that operator's manual has and check out for the high and low pressure specifications from which you can determine the saturation temperatures by referencing charts or Mollier diagram for the refrigerant in the system.
