EDM Setup Burn Sheets

EDM Setup Burn Sheets

EDM Setup Burn Sheets

(OP)
Hello,

I'm wondering if NX has a tool for outputting EDM setup (burn) sheets? I hate to reference another software; however, at 8:50 you can see roughly what I'm looking for ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxjxqZwuB5E#t=519 )

At the very least, I'm looking for what I would call a coordinate table. I would like to be able to export XC,YC and ZC for all my electrodes to a table and give that along with a plan view to the operator as opposed to creating separate burn dimension sheets for every burn. We do not have the Electrode module; we do, however, have the Mold Wizard module.

Any help or examples of what you're doing is greatly appreciated. This is currently a very time consuming process for us and I'm looking to increase efficiency.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

RE: EDM Setup Burn Sheets

Just a thought...since you are going to use plan views have you considered ordinate dimensions for multiple burn locations? You can set your customer defaults to display negative coordinates in those quadrants. Our operators are fine with that since the plan view is central for us.

Have you taken a close look at the electrode module? It may have this.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to check into the Electrode Module, it may be an answer.

Tingsryd, that is kind of how we are currently creating burn locations, except we only have one burn per sheet to avoid confusion. I was kind of hoping to be able to export something similar to a hole table (dimension coordinate table) except for electrodes instead of holes.
