What is the difference between Boiler valves & Furnace Valves. We are using ASME Section1 Valves in Our Boiler & Furance(steam application)

RE: Difference between Boiler Valve & Furnace Valves

nasim123,

First of all the valves must to follow the same code of the equipment that they protect. Boilers, superheaters and fired vessel are case where ASME I are applied.

There is no difference from one each other. In other words, both valves must to follow ASME I requirements since the pressure operation exceds 15 psig.
