ANSYS online course

ANSYS online course

ANSYS online course

(OP)
Hi

I have been doing basic linear static structural analysis (pro/mechanica) at work for the past few years and I'm comfortable with simple problems.

I am looking for an online course for ANSYS which leans towards advanced structural problems. I can pick up the basics with youtube etc.

I noticed the ASME online course uses Abaqus, unfortunately this is not what I want.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

RE: ANSYS online course

Hi bill8123,

If you contact your local ANSYS distributor (i.e. the company from whom you purchased your ANSYS licence) they probably run training courses on subjects such as advanced structural analyses. If not, they should at least be able to refer you to a company that do.

Good luck,
Dave

Thanks guys. The book looks perfect.

RE: ANSYS online course

yes, it's also not that expensive. and it's a tutorial-based approach.

Yeah, The only thing is - you cant really put a book that you have worked through on your resume. But even still, I'll be getting one of those books - Cheers.

RE: ANSYS online course

you can still say basic knowledge of ansys, if you've worked with it enough at home. you don't need to be totally honest in your resume, you know. the usual problems i've encountered at work that "need" ansys, can also be done by hand quite easily.
