Production release revision blocks

Production release revision blocks

Production release revision blocks

(OP)
Hi All
At production release, each drawing rev block is updated with rev, "release to production" and dated.Unfortunately it is a manual process. has anyone a macro, batch processing similar to task scheduler that would automate this update of the revison block?

RE: Production release revision blocks

I don't. I have a notepad file with notes that I copy and paste.

RE: Production release revision blocks

It's a manual process even with a custom property that you enter the info to. Or at least it is with the custom property I use to draw up my prints at work.

Thanks
ctopher - so if you have a hundred drawing to rev before a production release, you have to open each one and paste from notepad?

RE: Production release revision blocks

Yes, if needed.
But, I only do a couple drawing here and there every day. I don't have 100 drawings that would require some type of macro to do it.
Only takes seconds to type the required info on each drawing.
