Napping to points with lines/arcs/ circles to geometry in a drawing sheet

Napping to points with lines/arcs/ circles to geometry in a drawing sheet

(OP)
Hello,

I am having an issue with NX7.5. I create a solid model then add it to a file I have of a drawing sheet template (inserting the component in modeling), then I add my views. In doing so I have no ability to snap lines to centers or endpoints of the part. I can get centerlines to snap to points on the view but basic lines do not.

Any ideas?

I found that if I go to drafting from the original solid model it works but if I "Add the component" to a drawing sheet I have saved (Open the drawing sheet file -> add component in modeling -> insert views in drafting) I can't snap to centerpoints/endpoints/etc.

The snap options are active so I know that is not the issue.

Thanks!

Double click on the view border. Then look for Extracted edges. There is a pull down that is set to none. Set it to associative.

Wow, what a simple solution. Thanks!

and if that doesn't work you can always nap to them

Yes, I know it was a simple typo, but I couldn't resist
