Go/ NoGo TIR gage?

Go/ NoGo TIR gage?

Go/ NoGo TIR gage?

(OP)
I am looking for a gage that I can use for a very fast sort with my operators. Part gets located between two conical centers and has a dial indicator that rests on a hub on the outside of the part. We spin the part and you look for the Total Indicator Runout to be less than .030" This is eating a lot of time but is very necessary.

When the operator rotates the part they need to be fast on their math to add how far left the needle moves and how far right. This takes them 2 to 3 rotations as they might be unsure of themselves the first rotation. Also if it was border line they might recheck it to make sure.

I have upgraded them to a Mitutoyo ID-F150HE digital indicator that will display the total run out after they zero on each part and rotate it.

I want to make this even easier. I want a gage that I can set the TIR limit after zeroing. If it reaches the limit a red light turns on until rezerod. I want them to make one rotation and done no analysis needed or second guessing. Does anything exist?

Ryan
