Liability ?

Liability ?

Liability ?

(OP)
I have a spreadsheet that I am working on that I'd like reviewed but I want to make sure that neither my company nor I am liable for errors or misuse. I had thought about putting it up here for use and comment as well as sending to a couple colleagues. How can I do this without incurring any liability? Thank folks!

RE: Liability ?

I think its common knowledge that any spreadsheet can have errors, and unless you personally wrote it, treat it as such. I would just make sure it doesnt have your name. other than that, I would not worry about it.

I am the one writing it so I was going to take my name and company name/logo out of it and put some verbage that it's a preliminary version, not IFC (so to speak). Just wondering what others may think, but I pretty much had the same idea as you. Obliged.

RE: Liability ?

Depending on what it does, it will likely get a fair review...

dik - Spreadsheet for lifting lugs with per ASME BTH-1-2011, AISC 2014 and some various old sources. I'm sure there's plenty of others out there but I like to do my own spreadsheets so I really understand how they work. Not finished yet but I'll post when I am - would be nice to get some comments but maybe someone else could put it to use for themselves too.
