NX 7.5 - Engine connection rod

NX 7.5 - Engine connection rod

(OP)
Hi,

I'd like to create in my down time an engine connection rod.
Does somebody have a (simply) model for me?
Our company makes different products (suspension components and assemblies), but I've always wanted to learn about engine components design.
Thanks!

RE: NX 7.5 - Engine connection rod

OK, I've attached a zip file containing the parts for a small assembly of a Piston and Connecting Rod set designed for an albeit not-so-small model airplane engine. This is not your typical automotive Conn-Rod but it has all the same basic features (and you get the piston and other parts as well). Note that I do have some automotive examples, but they either came from customers or were modeled from their Drawings and so I can't share any of those. However, these parts are probably safe as I did all the modeling myself, and even though they were 'inspired' by a series of exercises from a 1936 high school Drafting textbook, I suspect that no one's going to object to anyone using them for 'practice'.

It is EXACTLY what I was asking for!

Thank you, Mr. Baker.
