Delete elements in a heat transfer step

Delete elements in a heat transfer step

(OP)
Hello,
I am working in a heat transfer model in 2D, with elements type S4. I need to apply a surface heat flux (I work in 2D, so i have to apply it in lines) in step-1, in an exterior line of elements, then another surface heat flux must be applied in other line of elements (below the first line of elements).
So i have to apply the heat, delete a line of elements S4, and apply another heat flux in another step.
I don't know if I can delete elements between different steps, or if I must create another model with the model-1 solution.
Could you help me? Thank you very much for your help
