hi

does somebody knows a easy to use finite elements program?
I would like to play around with different slab designs and would like to visualise the stresses

regards

lolo

RE: easy to use FE program

RISA-3D I'd say is your best bet if you're looking for simplicity.

Maine EIT, Civil/Structural.

RE: easy to use FE program

Ram Elements is another one that is easy to use and it will give you a color-coded display for the range of stresses in plate elements.

thank you very much for the tipps am checking it out right now

what about PROKON?

I hear it is also very very user friendly

RE: easy to use FE program

I'd say Visual Analysis is about as easy as they come. It's also quite robust.

For simplicity stay away from STAAD and SAP.
