RISER DUCTING SUPPORT CONCEPT!!!

RISER DUCTING SUPPORT CONCEPT!!!

RISER DUCTING SUPPORT CONCEPT!!!

(OP)
Hello Everybody!!!
I am dealing with a project wherein we have GI ducts to be installed in the Riser/shafts.
So this is the first time I am dealing with Riser ductwork, so My worry is about the support system to install the duct.
which type of support is best suitable to install the Riser ducting??
I highly appreciate your feedback on this.

Thanks in advance!!!

RE: RISER DUCTING SUPPORT CONCEPT!!!

for any larger piping and lengths/heights, you ultimately need structural calculation.

if you are not familiar with that, find appropriate engineer to take the task. i am working in hvac for 20 years and was able to learn simpler structural calculations myself (which cannot be in any way described through posts), but my most important knowledge is to know what I can take and what I have to transfer to other specialist.

RE: RISER DUCTING SUPPORT CONCEPT!!!

I used to do this kind of designs myself unless it was getting too heavy and complex, but lately I usually just get our structural folks to do as it is easier and faster.

RE: RISER DUCTING SUPPORT CONCEPT!!!

I think SMACNA guidelines that detail duct manufacturing and installation would cover at least some detail.
